The Brown Barn

A view of the hayloft of my grandfather Goodrich’s barn in Williston, Vermont.  It evokes memories of summers on their farm.  The barn was red but I wanted to hook a brown barn.

About the artist

I am a 7th generation Vermonter on both sides of my family.  I have been rug hooking for 27 years and only in the past 7 years have I discovered what inspires my work.  It is the land that surrounds me and especially those scenes and places that evoke personnel memories.

I call myself a fiber artist and I hope to inspire other hookers. I use hand dyed wool yardage and incorporate a variety of yarns for added texture.
