The Truth Is A Rabbit

“The Truth Is A Rabbit”  is an original design, inspired by two quite different motivations.  The first, and most obvious, is my love/hate relationship with rabbits.  They are charming, adorable, and destructive creatures.  They ravage my garden and I curse the destruction on summer mornings when I walk through the beds, and yet I cannot bring myself to hate them or wish them ill.  What’s a woman to do?  I take out my frustration by hooking them.

The second is the swamp in which we, as a nation, seem to find ourselves, where the whole concept of ‘truth’ has been corrupted and one hardly knows what or whom to trust.  The folk singer, philosopher and environmentalist Pete Seeger is a hero of mine (I was lucky enough, and am old enough, to have seen him perform at a Newport Folk Festival in the late ’60’s) and this quote attributed to him resonates with me.  I like to hook words and to be thoughtful.
